Ian has extensive experience in financial management, business planning, accounting, tax and corporate governance. In earlier years, he was a partner in Deloitte.

Ian is a Director and Board Advisor to companies in various sectors including financial services, investment management and property.

As well as chairing DASL, Ian is Chair of Leukemia and Blood Cancer Endowment Trust. He is an ex-Chair of Smales Farm and Fidelity Life.

Ian is a member of the NZ Institute of Chartered Accountants and a Chartered member of the NZ Institute of Directors.
